"IT'S GOOD FOR YOU"

Have you ever wondered why the more you trust God and do your best to walk in His ways, that things involving your life seem to get worst? Yeah, you and the rest of us! So whats the answer to this mysterious question? I believe the Holy Spirit is the Revealer of all TRUTH, so here it goes...

Romans 8:28 tells us that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who love God (that's me) and to those who are called according to His purpose (hey, that's me too). Crazy huh?!? Well we know that God is not crazy, but sometimes His methods seem crazy to us. Why? Simply because His ways are definitely not our ways and His thoughts far exceed our thoughts. So what am I trying to say? The more you pursue the Will of God, the more He uses the good, bad, and ugly to develop us for His perfect Will. Sounds exciting, right?

We must realize that for every good thing we experience in life, there has to be something bad that balances it out. Not for the purpose of hurting, disappointing, or burning us out, but for the purpose of building strong and integral character in our lives. If we truly examine the "bad" times, we will find that we should have learned something about ourselves during that time. We should have seen how strong or weak we were, patient or impatient, Godly or ungodly...you get the point. But if we are so focused on the "bad", we will neglect to see the "good" for our lives in the "bad".

I have learned, after many "bad" times, that you must have the right perception from the start. You have to perceive that the "bad" that you're going through MUST be designed by God for your "good". I must say, the "bad" has really been making me into a "good", Godly woman. To God be all of the glory. I began to see everything working for my good when I started accepting the "bad" for my "good". Now when I'm in a "bad" time, I declare, "God must be trying to get something good out of me."

Understand that God places demands on the lives of His people. And until He gets what He's expecting, He will allow many things to press us until He gets it. When we get that understanding, the "bad" doesn't seem so "bad" after all.

I encourage you to change your perception concerning what you're going through. Look at it from Kingdom point of view. Begin to see that this IS GOOD FOR YOU! Know that God only wants the best for your life. ALL things work together for good, for you. Believe that!

Pastor Renee

  2. This reminds of God's great plan of salvation. When I comtemplate on all that has and is still transpiring, good, bad or ugly, I realize that it's all part of His plan to take me from point A to point B, C, D and so on. Great blog!

  3. What if you go through a situation, pray about and never find out why you went through it? And can you give me some practical ways on how to change my perception on situations that feels like I'm going to die in? because when one is honestly going through first reaction is not to see the good in it.

  4. ...its amazing how the Word never gets old. This blog may be old (hint, hint) but the message was applicable when you first wrote it and its still working months later...Guess that goes back to: "God places demands on the lives of His people. And until He gets what He's expecting, He will allow many things to press us until He gets it." Have to believe the "bad" is for my good. Love u! Thanks always :-)

  5. That's solid word P.Renee. Think I really need this to get me ready for what I feel is on the horizon. I always wondered why paul said in COL 1; that he prays the we will be strengthed with might, according to God's glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy. I'm starting to feel that it has something to do with walking out those trying times in our life with the understanding that God is working somethings out that we maybe can't see yet.

  6. I am presently going through these tests and I ask you to please pray for me Pastor Renee. Though I realize it will work out for my good I sometimes feel alone, sad and depressed.

  7. I like what you said about preception. I pray GOD will keep elevating our preception to see our situations more and more like HE sees them(which is for our development). I think when we make that shift to the word's point of view, our situations become more insignificant compared to the "big picture." The issue then I guess, is continually keeping that view in mind. lol
